Same old.
Top-tier business people (who you'd be forgiven for thinking are fans of the cut and thrust of business negotiation) never seem to be keen when their employees commence business negotiations with them.
It's never clear to me why not.
Isn't "sealing the deal" their thing?

C-Level Management does mean something because very highly paid executives are in positions where they have the (arguably unenviable) responsibility of leading initiatives and making far-reaching decisions which affect the lives and careers of very large numbers of people who work within the organisations they sit at the top of.
