The WSJ asked if it's the end for NFTs, with the market collapsing. Perhaps it's only temporary, or it's a realisation of the true value.

The sale of nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, fell to a daily average of about 19,000 this week, a 92% decline from a peak of about 225,000 in September, according to the data website NonFungible.

The number of active wallets in the NFT market fell 88% to about 14,000 last week from a high of 119,000 in November.

Maybe more people (?) are beginning to get their heads around the idea that when they buy an NFT, they're not buying media, they're buying a link to media.

A link recorded in a blockchain public ledger, sure.

But a link, all the same.

Fads come, fads go, but they still remain fads. Most fads have no intrinsic value as they are merely an aberration of value which does not "compute". :)
