Firefox 98 no longer asks for user input, resets permissions

Instead of prompting every time, files will download automatically.

In this release, you’ll also see that Firefox no longer asks what to do for each file by default. You won’t be prompted to choose a helper application or save to disk before downloading a file unless you have changed your download action setting for that type of file.

[mozilla.org...]

Heads up - less pre-download control, changed default behavior and more options moved to post-download, some which may confuse and not do what a user thinks. Less choice, more history tracking. Was "ask me every time" so bad as a default?

Yes, every time I start Firefox it says "updating files". I have 99 beta and no different... for both Firefox grunge version and Dev version.
