Commission Junction and Kazaa

I get a list of my mp3s

I find this to be pretty bizarre. I try to go to cj.com and get nothing. If I have kazaa running I get a list of my mp3s in my kazaa folder. What is going on? I swear that I am not drunk. It is doing it on IE and opera 6.05. I run a hardware firewall.

I just noticed in IE it has a PR of 8. My mp3 list has a pr of 8.

It worked from my work computer. I have no idea what was wrong at home, maybe my router/firewall.

COMMON CAUSE
Kazaa and other programs block CJ & Linkshare links through the hosts file
You can modify your Hosts file and remove the blocks using steps below.

1) In Windows click the start button ¦ search ¦ for files or folders

2) Type in hosts and hit enter to search

3) The Hosts file for Windows 95 / 98 / Me should be located in
c:\windows\

4) The hosts file for Windows NT / 2000 / XP (You may need administrator access) should be located in:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ or
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\

5) Open the files in Notepad. Don't use WordPad or MSword as it may mess up the formatting.

6) You should see a really long list of urls. Delete the following occurences from the list.
www.linkshare.com
www.linksynergy.com
www.cj.com
www.commission-junction.com
www.qksrv.net

7) Save the hosts file.

8) Perform the same steps for any other Hosts files that were found.

9) Close the browser and then Open it. Try the links again.
