Google Update Naming

Google has given its core update a name "November 2021 Core Update"

Not quite as exciting as the original naming conventions which came from WebmasterWorld.

ANYWAY... the site I've worked hardest on shows no movement good or bad. A second site I had good expectations for this "holiday season" was kicked 5-10 spots down the curb on desktop, 3-4 on mobile. A site I haven't worked on in over a year came to life, I had relegated it to future project status but it's now going to pick up the slack, apparently.

It's too soon to tell if the changes will stick but the early outlook is very much looking like last year's. Considering Amazon et all nearly doubled their revenue I suppose staying level during covid is actually a huge loss?

Once years ago members of WebmasterWorld took matters into their own hands and gave their own name "Mayday Update" to a fairly significant (but unannounced) google update. The name was adopted by other leading SEO blogs and websites.
