While it must be nice to have in excess of $200 billion dollars in personal wealth (according to Forbes) the only thing I "admire" about this is him taking Wally Funk who trained in the 60's in the female astronaut program but never got a chance to go into space (a real boys club at the time). Other than that, I am actually not impressed with this or Branson's Virgin Galactic flight. It is just rich boys and their toys.

They put out their pre-launch video the day before they went up. Liftoff is minutes away now. Quite definitely Wally is the most qualified person on board. Hope she enjoys a safe landing after all these years.

I hope it all goes well.
My main thought is that after this he starts spending that wealth on a great deal more good causes than he does already. Let's face it, he can spare a 100 billion or so!

Say whatever you like about Branson and Bezos but it strikes me they just aren't as ambitious where space is concerned as Musk (not by a long way).
