I'd lilke the Ducks to win, but with home advantage i expect it will be the Devils.

Any preferences/views (think i might be a little late on this one, think the UK viewing is a little delayed) daren't go to NHL.com tho.

Ducks!

Only because their replacement goal keeper is Swiss. Heck, only two swiss guys in the NHL, got to support them, even if they never play (the other one is replacement keeper for Avalanche).

It was yesterday and New Jersey won.

Too bad really I would have liked to see Anaheim win. At least Giguere got MVP of the playoffs.

The Devils won, 3-0, and took the cup.

Seeing the outcome of it all makes me kind of sad... Will we ever see offensive and fluid hockey like we used too? (1975 - 1988)

Don't get me wrong, defensively wow, insane goaltending, but holy ... I don't remember ever falling asleep during game 7 of the Stanley Cup final....

Ok my team didn't make the playoff you'll say, but I'm a big hockey fan...

I sure hope so

jersey/anaheim = boring
anaheim/minnesota = boring

the trap kills ;)

the neutral zone is where the fun should be.

<added>what is your team mavherick?

Nothing to do with the way the game is played, that's just age, mav. ;)

Dare I say which team! Hint, on a player perspective, it's probably the most stressful place to play (the french media are insane...)

Hopefully, Gainey will rectify the situation for us this year, would be nice to make the playoff.

And as for you sinner_g, you might be right, but I blame the few beers! :)

"the other one is replacement keeper for Avalanche"

Yeah, you don't see much time on the ice when your backup for the greatest goaltender in history (ok, I might be a little biased). But with Roy having just retired, I'm sure he'll get some ice time next season.

Depends on who they pick up as starter, the rumours abound

Are there any good free agent goalies on the market? (haven't had a chance to see the local news lately but last time I did they were talking about a lack of choices).

There are some with contracts up I believe but it will depend who gets picked up, whether the option is with the player or the team etc.

My family has clear instructions if by chance I am ever on my death bed.

Before I pass, they are to whisper in my ear the following:

"Honey, the Maple Leafs have won the cup". I couldn't give a flying "beep" if they are lying to me. I just want to rest in peace.

Well, the media around here are certain that the Swiss guy will become the starter... A bit optimistic I think, although he did quite well when he got ice time.

Well since LA picked up Cechmanek, that frees up Potvin. Also is Sean Burke contract's up with Pheonix?

Colorado will probably start off with what they have and see how it goes (that's what I would do anyway!)
