I need to know how to perform Y modification to Z widget types so I searched widget types and I found....

- etc, etc.
Which should I click and do I have to first be told what a widget is, what a modification is, how popular they are, skim through a dozen ads and widget offers before picking out the very specific answer I want out of paragraph 32 some 12 pages below the fold?
These long-style mega posts covering absolutely everything about a subject and starting their titles with "10000 best" are quickly becoming useless. The first site to break up these long posts into difficulty groups wins.
The querry usually gives some clues as to a person's knowledge. "What is a widget" = beginner. "How do I modify the widget for Z purpose" is at least intermediate.... which doesn't require telling users when they were created, by whom etc, etc. It's a problem.
