The U.S. is to introduce a Bill to make big tech, such as Google and Facebook pay for publishers' news content.

A U.S. bill being introduced Wednesday by U.S. lawmakers would make it easier for news organizations to negotiate collectively with platforms like Google and Facebook to get a better price for their content that serves up in search engines or news feeds.

iirc the FB "news feed" disappeared years ago.
scraping content is one thing but afaic people should be allowed to post links to news stories in their timeline and FB should have the right to use og meta data (or the document title for that matter) to embellish those posted urls.
