Wikimedia Foundation is finalizing a uniform code of conduct across all versions of Wikipedia with the aim of standardizing its approach to enable easier access to the protection of privacy for those anyone making complaints of harassment.

So ... any draft text been released? Otherwise looks like PR for impending (but not finalized) things to come. Here's hoping "uniform" also means "consistent"!

An operation Snowflake attempt on a community whose motto is Be Bold [en.wikipedia.org]. This will cost them some valuable editors.

I can see this being very tricky to do. Getting a consensus about what is acceptable behaviour is tricky.

I think English language Wikipedia might be OK as most edits come from Western Europe and North America, but applying the same polices across multiple languages and very different cultures sounds difficult.

A very clear code that targets things that you can get a consensus over would work, but it sounds like something a lot more wide ranging is planned. They are also not being very transparent about it:. There is lots of jargon in their statements I have seen that could mean anything.
