[theguardian.com...]

This is going to be interesting for a couple reasons:
Section 230 has never come under this much fire before from different sides. I think a bunch of people in power think it needs updated and I think we will get an update within the next year. If that happens, a whole section of the internet (like this site) would have to have fresh policy updates. Essentially, all social media sites would basically have to get signed "hold harmless" agreements with users. Whether that can be wrapped into a soft click TOS, is still to be determined.

Hello,

Section 230 is good, but like everything, it was hugely abused. And what we are seeing now, is the result of it.

Personally, I have always considered myself liable for the content appearing at my sites. This is my sites, so I am responsible. Now, even if I am trying to be attentive to everything posted at my sites, it's possible I missed some reprehensible content. I assume that, if something is wrong, someone would have reported it.

Like I said, at another topic, I support freedom of speech, but as long as it's not causing ME problems.

I don't know what I am supposed to see, but I see 41 HTML errors, and 9 warnings.

Well, there's nothing odd in that. ;)

Hardly any site can be bothered to write valid code any more. :(

Take this page, for instance, which you and I are on...

Twitter & Facebook To talk Section 230 [webmasterworld.com]

...it has, at the last count, - 56 errors and 9 warnings...

OOOooohhhhh my bad!

I didn't understand it was the source code of the page form the guardian !

My apologizes.

Yes the ASCII art is neat ! It's like saying, if you see this, we are interested in you :)

20 years ago, I was putting ASCII arts easter eggs in my pages too, I should have continued.
