Anyone here know anything about game development?

Specifically, PSVR?

I have a PSVR rig, and a burning thirst to use it for something I first saw running on a 386, but there's nothing out there.

This concept is very simple; I figure the program should be pretty minuscule for a PSVR app. I'm not a coder though; I've done a bit of mucking around with Arduino, but that's it. I've been trying to google up a forum for PS4 devs to no avail, and otherwise trying to get a handle on the scale of the enterprise, trying to claw my way out of the Dunning-Kruger bucket. It's a hard slog.

So, does anyone have any clues where to point me for some help...?

I also wonder how obvious my dream is... I figure there must be a few folks who could confidently deduce it from the first two sentences. And if so, I'd guess the possibility exists that it could go down as a killer PSVR app, thus representing a pretty enticing payday for a trivial amount of coding; a simple idea worth quite a bit to the right person, which makes me a bit cagey... but really, the main thing is that my idea becomes reality. It could be worth something, but I'm aware the likelihood of making more than $0 is still pretty tiny if I don't write the thing myself. Just poking my head in the right place to ask about it could make it happen, if these judgements are halfway accurate.

But yeah, lots of unknown unknowns. Hoping for some enlightenment. Cheers

Yeah, I looked into that when I got the PSVR, but I gather the head tracking is still pretty sketchy as long as there's no way to use the PS camera... given my experiences of when the head tracking is off (like when the gaffer tape holding my camera lets go in summer), that'd be a dealbreaker. And now that I look again, it seems iVRY is the best way to implement tracking, but it still has mostly negative reviews...

Is there a significant hurdle in front of developing for PS? ...

Huh. Now that I goolge homebrew PSVR development, the first result is a Reddit thread, where the best answer is this link: [partners.playstation.net...]

Click on that, scroll down, and...
Game Developers
Small start-ups to global game studios, ready-to-playor just a high-concept pitch, we’re interested. And we’ll support you through development.

Guess I'll try my luck with Sony.

Code and make dream work for YOU first, then figure out how to monetize. Horse-cart kind of thing.

Aside; locate the tools needed to accomplish such goals.

I'm not a coder. And if I talk to a coder about it, there's a good chance they'd just steal my idea, but whatever. I mainly just want it to get made.

The main problem I'm having, is where do I go to talk to PlayStation coders?
