What is Nimsoft, and do I need it?

My server provider sent out an email that they're going to "no longer offer or support Advanced Monitoring by Nimsoft".

Instead, they want me to pay for "IBM Cloud Monitoring with Sysdig".

But I honestly don't know what Nimsoft is, or if I've ever used it or need it. I get warnings from WHM/cPanel when server resources hit certain limits, and I use Munin on occasion when I have a problem... are either of those related to Nimsoft?

If I haven't seen it or intentionally configured it, then is this something I can safely let go and forget about?

:: detour to search engine, because I could swear it sounds like a fabric softener ::

The first hit is, predictably, wikipedia, and the snippet begins, quote, “Nimsoft was”, putting us in the fine tradition of “That was all she wrote”.

But it really doesn’t sound like something you might be using without knowing it.

My thought, too, but I've gotten at least 10 emails about it that sound very threatening and dire. So I couldn't tell if it's just a sales pitch to convince me to pay for their cloud monitoring, or if it's something that actually has value.
