Came home yesterday, to find the back end of the bottom floor of my house flooded, and a considerable chunk of the ceiling on the floor - a shocker, to say the least.

Switched off the water mains, then proceded to find the culprit, which was a little plastic nut, on the other side of the systern in the Loo, had split into three pieces, and let the full mains supply flood downwards into the room below. Funny thing is the toilet was replaced two months ago.

Cleaned up all the plaster, and lots of mopping, though i was intending to re-do or more to the point redecorate at some point the future, this certainly speeded up the decision.

My fun weekend!

caine, I cannot imagine a better effort to look at the bright side.

Wish you out of this mess soon!

Caine,

I can only assume that the computer isn't kept on the bottom floor of your home?

Great time to snap a photo and use it as the "before" picture for your redecorating endeavor. ;)

Good luck.

Wowsers. Glad all our plumbing is on the ground floor. (OK, the house only has a ground floor... but still. ;) )

Good angle with the redecorating thing... you can't very well procrastinate now!
