I just found an old topic via search to this topic. But I'm looking for a solution specific for wordpress. In case of an emergency how can you make sure that relatives or employes get access to your admin accounts?

Anyone with a solution for that?

Wordpress is a special case because it requires an administrator to maintain the CMS and its hosting and plugins to keep it 'alive'. Creating a list of the various account usernames and login information should be something that all webmasters do but for WP it requires that the person with the information knows what it is for and how to do the tasks they would need to handle.

You could always create a new user with the permissions they would need to handle maintenance. Then supply that person with all they would need to know in your absence, both through a training walk-through (if possible) or explicit instructions.

Two scenarios - suddenly ill or hospitalized for example is different than dying. An electronic will is for survivors, not for a temporary timeout.

Is the site running using an installation package downloaded from wordpress.org or is it running directly on wordpress.com? If wordpress.com or one of the other WordPress specific hosting options is used, maintenance of the installation is taken care of by others. In that case, providing the logon credentials and periodic payment information in the will is probably sufficient.
