As mentioned previous threads I have servers in China. So far the folks managing the servers, handling law type stuff, etc. are well, which is a relief.

However, their tales (Chengdu and Xi’an) of near empty streets, police in biohazard gear decontaminating public spaces, roadblocks checking ID and using IR checking for fever... schools are closed through early March at least; non-essential industries closed unless can work online...

They worry about the sites while I worry about them. Folks I’ve never met except via Skype are occupying pretty much all my thoughts this past month.

Those bacteria and viruses at the ‘bottom’ of the pyramid sure can rock the edifice we claim to top.
Homo sapiens hubris.
