dont tell your kid about "The Old Man and the Sea" - You might be accused being ageist,sexist etc:

is this not little too far this ban of certain words from schools? certains deserve but soem words are perfeclty normal to me :)

Just for those of you who don't bother reading the whole article:

Nobody is suggesting Old Man and the Sea actually be renamed. That was just used as an example.

There is also no movement to remove the word "sea" from school textbooks for the benefit of inland-dwelling students, and AFAIK it's still OK to use the word "man" when you are referring to an adult male human.
