Surfing the jetty this morning and got caught in a cross break by another (rogue?) wave and my board got kicked up onto the rocks. I went down so hard my leash broke. Anyway the board is gone, unsalvageable.

It is/was a beautiful hand shaped Takayama I got in Hawaii a couple years ago. It will be difficult to replace. Guess I'm back to my old dinged Jacks for a while.

Any other surfers here?

Dang, keyplyr, I opened this post wondering how you managed to break your motherboard. You don’t have a cat, after all.

That will teach you to go surfing at 1:51 AM. (Or is that GMT? These boards confuse me. As we speak, it’s 5:54 PM.)

Well when I said "this morning" I meant the morning of the day I was still participating in.

There is a company in Tahiti (I think) that makes surfboards called "motherboards" or maybe it was in Japan and called "Mamasan boards?"

That sounds like one of those things that come in sizes and you could also choose a “Papasan board”.

Oh, no, wait, that’s the chair Greebo sleeps in.
