Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has become the World's richest man with an estimated worth of $105 billion, surpassing Bill Gates at a mere $93.3 billion. Of course, the net worth is based upon Amazon's stock price.
Questions are arising as to what he might do with all that wealth.
Yup... I put him over the top with my last purchase of printing paper.

hehe, you're to blame!
I wonder if he'll do a Bill Gates and turn to philanthropy.

You mean more than invest in the dying print publishing industry? :)

If I have to be second, I could get by with $93.3 billion. Really, at that amount, does it really matter. I remember when Gates broke $100 billion back in 2000 I believe. That was when a billion was a billion.

There's a threshold in every country where a certain level of net worth makes it comfortable to survive. It's nothing near a billion anywhere, even in the most expensive places and with the most lavish lifestyles.
I couldn't tell you what that figure might be as i've not really thought about it (not being in that position). Money's not everything: health and happiness are top of my list.

Bezos just gave $33M to a scholarship fund for Dreamers (undocumented immigrants that came to the USA as infants.)
