Saw the promo for this Amazon Prime original so I watched it last night. Liked it so much, decided to go back to the 1st season and catch up on previous episodes (I love this about streaming.)

This show is absolutely hilarious, even when they poke fun at the Yanks, which is pretty much every episode. I gotta admit, our addiction to 8 cylinders makes us an easy target.

Glad I found this show. No BS or promotion. Just what these three blokes think of the cars they're drivin' and very fine cinematography.

I have not watched these three since the firing of Clarkson and the disappearance from the BBC.
There's no question, Clarkson's wit and humour is sharp, and too sharp for some; It's often gotten him into trouble. As a threesome, they work together quite well, and May has been good on some of the other shows he's done. Hammond is not so good on his own, imho.

Not sure i'll ever get around to watching the GT.

I really enjoyed the dynamic trio on Top Gear, sadly I have not seen any of the Amazon series. I had hoped that they would get a deal with HBO instead of Amazon when the BBC screwed up. Don't know much about Amazon but I thought HBO might give them more "creative freedom".

I had seen Top Gear some years ago and thought it cheaply done. The only episode I watched was about 10 minutes of the one featuring the 2006(?) Corvette. They had nothing but insults so I quickly turned it off thinking the show didn't have any credibility :)

I remember now they were only bad mouthing the body construction, not the award winning LS engine series. Of course it's that ultra light weight body that gives the Vette the edge.

But I didn't even know these were the same 3 guys. Makes sense though. Great guys as long as they don't trash talk my car :)

Yeah HBO is a class act, but Amazon has given this show a lot of backing and polish, especially the new season.

With the possibility of the mid-engine Corvette coming out you *might* see the boys warm up to it. As a rule though, American muscle is going to be mocked at most every turn...

Speaking of HBO... we thank England for John Oliver [iamjohnoliver.com]
