....You are designing a website, you want to get your site up and running as soon as you have a design, you can fill in the content a little later, sorted! for now you plonk an Animated Gif - a wee man bouncing up and down on a pneumatic drill or a spinning roadworks sign and label them 'page underconstruction' - perfect....?

There is "about 3,690,000." pages out there harboring this nasty habit.

This does my head in! what purpose does it have? and can anybody here give any reason what so ever to have this on any page, ever?

it's been a helluva week and i needed to vent - this seemed a good target

I do like one gif. on the #3 site. Shows a construction worker getting fired @ walking away..

Thougt about joining the 'People Against Under Construction Images'
on #2 but thought I'd be done for spamming. Ironic eh.
