Ronnie James Dio Hologram Plots World Tour [rollingstone.com]
Not sure what to make of this. The technology sounds interesting, but should dead musicians really be "resurrected?"

I saw him live in concert 3 times (once while he was fronting Black Sabbath and twice after he went solo). Not sure how I'd feel seeing him perform dead...

Well, surely, it's just like watching a movie running while the band play, but it's attempting to be realistic.

It's new technology and will be interesting to see, but it's never going to be the same.

The only thing that really matters is the musical reproduction, and venues have enough trouble guaranteeing good sound when the band is playing live, how do they plan to do it from some digital recording.

If i want to hear the music of dead musicians, I'll put the vinyl on my turntable and be transported back in time. (Until my wife yells to tell me to turn the volume down)

I have been waiting for something like this since I "saw" Tupac in 2012.

Anything to get the middle man (the musician and band) out of the way. More bucks, no expense. Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.
