Suave, well-spoken, mannered, and sometimes out right hilarious.
He was 89.
Hero of zillions as 007, his passing means yet one more icon of my personal past has gone.
Shades of impending mortality (somewhere down the line!).

R.I.P.
However, he was not my favorite Bond.
I liked him in The Saint though.

Me! In local area Maverick is on weekdays in syndication and when I get a chance I watch and marvel "How young he looks!"Bret, Bart Beau and Brent. Those where different days and memories.

@BeeDeeDubbleU - Yeah, he was the cousin to James Garner & Jack Kelly right? He played that part well too.

Actually, I don't remember him in Maverick. I always enjoyed The Saint, but as Bond he was well suited at the time.
He was a gentleman!
RIP Sir Roger.

He was suited for his first couple outings as Bond, but the last couple he looked too old & fat.

Forty years ago I worked at the Faslane Naval Base (submarine base in Scotland). I remember seeing Roger Moore there while filming a part for The Spy Who Loved Me.

BeeDeeDubbleU I guess that's before the security became tight, and i'd be surprised if they allowed that now.

Everyone's forgetting Ivanhoe, even the medias, when I was a kid, way back when, that was the one show kids won't miss.
