Went to see the Dave Brubeck quartet last night and I have to say he is still a geezer at the age of 80 something. I hope I am still at it like looney at his age.

For those who dont know the man famous for the track
"Take Five" which I believe he did not compose:

You are correct - Take Five was composed by Paul Desmond, sax player in the original Dave Brubeck Quartet. Take Five was the first jazz instrumental to sell over a million copies. But all the tracks on that entire album are winners.

Hmm... I went to a Dave Brubek Quartet concert back in the Fifties when I was in College. Paul Desmond was there.

Back, I think, in the Seventies when we west coasters used to fly the cheapo PSA Shuttle between SFO & LAX, I thought I had seen my seatmate before. I mentioned this and he stuck out his hand and said, "Dave Brubeck". During the next hour we talked about all sorts of stuff.
