Jaguar cars have added cashless payment for fuel with no need for you to leave your vehicle.

Looks like it's via Android Pay.

I'm sure this will start to appear all over the place, especially on high-end vehicles.

Now, the question is, what will the fuel stations do without you getting out of the vehicle and buying a chocolate bar to subsidise the fuel!

I assume you still need to leave your car to actually put the fuel in.

Or do you have fuel station personnel for that over there?

hehe, yes, there are places where they'll do that as a service.

In California, it's beer & wine at the gas station mini-market. Never could understand the thinking there.

New Jersey is all attendant pumped (no self-pumping).

Oregon is like that.

For opposite reasons, I'm told. New Jersey got fed up with pump-and-dump / fill-and-flee; Oregon decided that pumping gas is one way to deal with unemployment.

If you own a Jaguar, surely you can afford the extra few cents/gallon of a full-service gas station?

So you have attendant pumping and the price per gallon is 2-3x lower.

I was vacationing in Austin, TX, a few weeks ago. Perhaps I should have stayed.

Jaguar hasn't been owned by Ford for several years.

Yes, I just looked it up. Now owned by the Indian company Tata Motors since 2008.

I just remember a GF shopping for a car (10 years ago now) and not going for the Jag because the salesman let it slip it was owned by Ford.

I thought that was Louisiana, where you can ask for a takeaway cup for your leftover wine.

Now owned by the Indian company Tata Motors

The imagination boggles, the mind reels. Tata Motors?
