I know someone who speaks klingon.

He's a linguist and a trekky and participate(d) in the group of poeple who developed the language. This was like ten years ago. Don't know if the group still exists.

If I recall his stories correctly, they were forced to work random words and grammar that the writers put into the show into the official language so it would be 100% true to the show.

It was freaky to hear him speak though, I'll tell you.

Heh, i hate to dash anyone's hopes, but the above CNN story spawned off from an urban myth, and is a very good example of very poor reporting. ;)
