The EU is to debate the idea that a robot with AI is to have legal status, and if humans should have control of an off switch.

Clearly, AI has advanced significantly in recent times, but to suggest that an AI bot should have legal status seems a little too ahead of time. If an AI bot actually became concious then humans might be in trouble.
