Galaxy Note 7 Update to Limit Battery to 33pct

Fears over the Galaxy Note 7 battery means those in use will be limited to a 33% charge as soon as the next update comes thorugh.

Is this likely to make the Note 7 useless? Will it finally encourage users to hand them in?

Samsung announced a plan to force all remaining Galaxy Note 7s to download a software update that will prevent the device from charging or working on mobile networks. That update is slated to begin Dec. 19 and will roll out over 30 days.
