Verizon: No More Non-local “from” Email Addresses

Well this is annoying if true. I prefer sending my website account emails through my Verizon service rather than through the website. Now have to change all accounts.

Effective November 15, 2016, for enhanced security and phishing protection, we are eliminating the ability to use non-local “from” addresses in conjunction with your verizon.net email account.

That really looks like an anti-spam feature, especially if their servers were being abused. I know of others that already do this, and one in particular does have a verification process to go through if you want to keep using their servers. It's a bit of a pain for users.
