Moved into my new office space today, which comes with new furniture, including a standing desk (stand up to work instead of sitting down). Yjis will be my first time using one, but I'm looking forward to it.

Now, if the movers will get here with my extension cord so I can plug the desk in and actually adjust the height...

Standing desk - great idea. Every time I see them, usually video from tech companies, silicon valley etc, I tell myself I should move in that direction.

Will you start wearing work-out gear :)

Add the treadmill and you've really got something. Oh, include chewing gum at the same time. :)

Used a standing desk for years until I ended up with a busted ankle bike riding. Got back to walking and riding a bike, but standing in one place hit a nerve (or something) that dang near killed me, so back to seated when doing computers.

I just ordered one of those crazy expensive standing desks. I've never used one before, I hope I like it LOL

I sit way too much so I figured if I spent a bundle then I'd feel more obligated to use it. It helps that this one will remind me to stand up because I need external reminders sometimes.

I am still looking for a hammock desk. ;)
Seriously, if you can stand up to work it may help avoid or relieve lower back problems. If you already have foot/ankle/hip problems, it's better to sit. A good chair with adjustable lumbar support helps for me.
