Some of you may use Google's services, ;) and some of you may even use voice search.

To check on this history for your account, obviously, you have to log in.
[history.google.com...]
Once there, use the menu to look at the browsing and search history, along with audio recordings of your voice search, and location history.
Simply select the check box and choose delete.
If you don't want it recorded, select the appropriate privacy settings, or make sure you regularly delete the recordings.

> you regularly delete

...or maybe you just flag these data so that they're from now on hidden from your own view? Just saying...

Does it really delete the data collected, or just quit showing you what is/has been collected? I simply can't believe any data mining company will give up that kind of info.

Note: Do the same in Bing when you can. :)

I tend to agree with the don't ask don't tell theory. Google clears the user-side history, but pretty sure it maintains the data.
