Technicalities aside, could this just made it easier for the FBI to snoop on anyone?

According to the ruling, no ... but the reality is the FBI has been delivered carte blanche to go wherever their investigations lead ... .and that could be entire networks. Call me not happy camper!

Same in the UK, if GCHQ or MI6 want anything hey just get the USA or another country to do it and pass on the info.
