OK, it's alll going to be fine - the E.U and the U.S. have come to an agreement for a new data transfer pact.

The EU and US have agreed a new pact to make it easy for organisations to transfer data across the Atlantic.

The agreement should head off the threat that both tech giants and smaller companies would be unable to send personal information for processing in US data centres. E.U. and U.S. Agree New Data Transfer Deal Replacing Safe Harbor [bbc.co.uk]

So the last sentence in that article at the BBC -- link in OP -- that last sentence reads as follows:

"EU watchdogs are expected to make their views known on Wednesday."

And we are a tad over two weeks since that February 3rd (Wednesday) flag the BBC waved in front of the reader's face and what can we find about that flag they waved in front of us? Nothing!

Well, I couldn't find any article on their site explaining what happened when the doggies had their pow-wow.

In fact, I also tried GooGoo's search tool and found nothing about what any watchdog spokesperson had to say about this new agreement.

There were some privacy advocates that expressed some misgivings about the new agreement, but what came of that?

I mean, aren't we going to get a view of both sides of the fence? Or are we just supposed to trust those government folks that came up with that deal and just use the new deal to chase after dollars and Euros?
