Whats everyones opinion of this method of getting targeted traffic.
I have a site that targets the disabled in order to give them what is effectively free help, however I do make money out of this, but it doesnt come from the disabled people.
I made a link to the leading charity for this particular section of disabled people, purely altruistically to give my mainly informational site a more rounded content. I'm PR4 and the charity is PR7.
Much to my surprise the page (this link is a full page explaining the charity and what it does in brief ) went immediately to #1, one place ahead of the previous leader, the aforesaid charity. I now get a ton of hits on that page.
My page title is 'XYZ Charity Link' and their title is 'XYZ', but it appears that most people search on my page title as I found out when I checked later on Overture.
Is it morally reprehensible to continue or should I remove the page which merely pays homage to XYZ, but probably swipes a lot of their visitors and puts money into my pocket. I am not competing with the charity which does not involve itself in my kind of business.
