I didn't even know Amazon was a player in the Top Gear saga

This is not the first time, nor the last, i'm sure, that Amazon picks up on something that the BBC have dropped. It's ironic that one other show the BBC cancelled, and there was the subsequent brouhaha from the show's fans, and lo and behold, Amazon made it the show, and the BBC is bringing it to our screens. How ironic is that!

Parts of the content of Top Gear from the BBC was getting a little tired, on occasions, but it's the BBC's show, and the guys will have to do something slightly different. Either way, "some say" it's Clarkson that's the real attraction. His wit is the stuff of legends.

When the whole thing first came about my first thought was that I hoped HBO would pick up the trio for a show, imagine a show with a completely unfiltered Clarkson...

I don't know much about Amazon original programming, maybe they can do the same sort of stuff HBO can, I guess if they want.

I'm really intrigued to see what happens with whatever they end up with now that Amazon has given them a job. I can see this becoming an Amazon Prime thing.

Chris Evans is heading up the new Top Gear, and he's a great producer. I'd like to see it continue, in a slightly different format. The races and challenges were sometimes tedious, imho.

I can't understand the following that Clarkson and his cronies appear to have. I find their antics boring, boorish and predictable. Another in the long list of reasons not to sign up for Amazon Prime.
