I saw him playing at a small neighborhood club over 50 years ago, he was amazing, unforgettable. So sad to hear the news.

Man . . he was one of the reasons I was heading to Memphis this summer. Hoped I might catch him performing. RIP. Heaven's heavenly choirs just got a bit mo better blues.
