I called the $280m for Travelocity light, the Orbitz buy looks like a fair price for both parties. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for Travelocity buy, I'm not sure whether buyer or seller got snookered, but something's up with that earlier deal. Maybe I'm just biased cuz I use (and have loved using) Travelocity.

Smells like Expedia is beefing up to battle someone, Priceline's too weak for this tear Ex has been on, I'm guessing something bigger... maybe sell... G's into travel... but Y has all that Alibaba cash... what if Y's mobile plans include travel locations everywhere (connectivity), makes deals via ongoing booking relationships, to tap into (and book space / fun for) mobile users, everywhere they go.

And Melissa told them, go snap up all the puppies you big dog, then come on home, i've got a big ol' gnarly meaty bone, just waiting for you. If she bought them up, ouch, once they smell da heap o' baba cash, nobody's happy selling for $280m.

Isn't Yahoo Travel powered by Travelocity?
And Sabre just sold them to Expedia?

Travel buys, snooze fest, who cares, they're all clones of each other.
Travel buys, as a global mobile strategy, no snores here, it's mobilpalooza!
