An occasional problem for me but I have friends who get a crash in the majority of on-line sessions.

For me, it's like watching those russian dash cams.. If I had a nickle for everycrash, I'd be ordering solid platinum bathroom fixtures for my megayacht.

Seriously though, I have reduced the problem somewhat with chrome, which is what I use.

There is an extension to chrome called "The Great Suspender" which suspends pages after about 15 seconds or so. I've found that has REALLY reduced the crashing by flash

Also, I've found that some websites I visit crash more in one particular browser. There are two sites I visit daily where I view them in firefox and then close the window.

Crossing fingers, but I've never had flash crash. Then again I have every codec known to exist installed. :) (FF, IE, I don't use anything else)
