Cancer sucks and I miss my good friend and co-moderator Tedster. To honor his memory, on November 2nd I'll be running the 26.2 mile long NYC Marathon to raise money for cancer research.

Whoever donates to my crazy marathon attempt can guess my finish time. The closest guess to my finish time without going over wins a free year of WebmasterWorld Premium Membership courtesy of Jim Boykin.

To make it more interesting, I'll do the marathon wearing a tutu if over $5,000 is donated.

You can donate & guess my finish time here [cancermiles.com...]

If someone in your life has or is battling cancer, let me know their name and I'll write their name on the back of my marathon singlet.

Thank you for your support
-Greg

This really is a wonderful tribute, and a very worthy cause.

C'mon, let's get that tutu in place!

Very cool Greg. You will of course post pictures of yourself in the tutu right?

People have to donate for me to wear a tutu, so I feel very confident that I won't have to wear one.

Thank you so much for doing this Greg. My uncle died of cancer several years ago. Tedster was a good friend of mine. I will always remember our talks at Pub Con.

There's not a better person to honor. Whatever your time, you've done good, kid.

Is there a place to read on how it went and pictures?

It was brutal. No marathon is ever fun because 26.2 miles is a bit crazy. But this marathon was a little crazier than usual with the wind gusting around 40 mph. Took me over five hours but I'm grateful I finished and thankful for all the cancer donations to honor Ted.

Well done!
I'm sure folks can still donate, can't they?
