Story here [cnn.com].

Too bad- he was a great comedian. Sadly ironic that he was battling depression.

Wow. I'm so bummed.

For me, this is worse than JFK! One may have been the president, the other had real impact on my life.

R.I.P. Robin Williams

His last TV show tanked badly. Don't know if that had any causality, but his on-going health problems, alcohol, and three marriages (the last seeming to be good, the other two failed miserably) might have had something to do with his reported depression. So far they are not calling it suicide, merely single instance asphyxiation ... whatever that means. I know what it SOUNDS like... but we'll not speculate.

Very sad. I wasn't a huge fan of his eccentricity but he seemed like a good egg, generally wanting to entertain other people.

Not sure if he won an oscar for it, but I admired his character in Good Will Hunting.

last year he did an interview where he blamed his money problems on his divorces. but his last divorce was six years ago, 2008.

he put the 20+ million dollar Napa ranch up for sale in 2013.

I was shocked when I heard about it yesterday. Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed his work.

So sad to know he was battling depression and financial issues. That's a hard combination to deal with. Losing Robin is huge. I grew up with him.

Very sad to hear that news, and i'm sure he had much more to give to the world.

Robin Williams was such a talented and likeable person, and i'm sure he'll be sadly missed by many of his family and friends, along with all the people that enjoyed his work.

His legacy lives on.

RIP
