I saw this one the news, bit hard to get my head around. My simplistic way of thinking tells me they found evidence of the shock waves created from the big bang.

I would love to be able to understand this stuff in more detail, unfortunately, it's a step to far lol.

They found the shock waves a while ago (the microwave background radiation) the news here is that it is polarised.
