Washington students told to destroy rare Dodge Viper

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- A community college says it's the pride of their automotive technology program: a rare Dodge Viper donated to their school worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

So you can imagine their shock when they were told to destroy it.

Ouch! Surely there has to be something else Chrysler can do to ensure the car never ends up on the road. Some sort of device that cuts the engine out if it goes x meters beyond a point. It will certainly be a valuable tool for students.

When I was studying mechanics we had a garage full of old donated cars, but nothing like this.
