it seems everyone I know is having some sort of 'net problem today - I really hate Comcast but it is the best of what we have here - and they are extremely overburdened with technical support calls - and everyone on FB is having tremendous problems.
is there some sort of squirrel wreaking havoc on the BIT wires today?
or maybe some sort of secret squirrel activity bogging things down?
Well it's not me alone! I have help from a very strong fellow in the form of our Mayor of Toronto. He's pre-filtering the heavy lifting stuff I can't handle. We're on our way to healing, patience is of the essence.
I didn't want them listening in - but I am sure they are.
Hello guys & girls!
Without doubt there's enough keywords here to get this discussion popped up on one of their screens.
Netherlands = "destinations unknown" -- I'll spell it out for them because I doubt they would be able to figure it out themselves.
But while they're here reading I want to ask the NSA children to stop playing with matches. You're putting us all in danger. You children, and your playmate google, broke the impossible triangle (their first infiltration in 2007) with your wreckless carelessness. Had to rouse a bunch of old timers out of retirement to cover your sorry apps.
Friday Foo -- isn't this more fun than the Friday word game?
I don't remember if I said specifically that I'm from Quebec, maybe I did, because I am. I do remember saying that I'm French. I lived in Quebec for my first 24 years, and then hopped across to my new lilly pad here in Ontario 28 years ago. I did have a brief 2 year stint back in Quebec during those 28 years but resettled back here once again.
Lately, in spite of the unsavoury political atmosphere there, I'm longing to return to my French roots. Ontario has been mostly good to me but it's just too conservative, and I'm not. The area I'm from is so wild. Wide open fresh air freedom with an abundance of crown land to roam freely on along with the wild animals. All I'd need is a kayak and a backpack. Alternatively I'm considering the Labrador area of Newfoundland. It's even more wild and free. I have already lived the experience and on cold winter days when there is neither wind nor birds singing one can hear atoms vibrating. They tell some amazing breath taking evolutionary stories. Many in the world have trinkets but I have silence that money cannot buy ;)
Going back to yesterday's slow internet speeds. I really did hook up to a private DNS provider in the Netherlands the other night. And, the next morning my speed was slow so I thought it might have been related to that until I saw chewy's thread. It seems to be okay today.
Previously I was using U.S. based OpenDNS as my primary provider and my local ISP as secondary. Now I have the Netherlands provider as primary and local ISP as secondary. Without getting fanatical about it I'm going to disconnect all associations that I can until the rogue squirrel is put back in its cage.
As for the Mayor. There's no denying he's struggling with demons. I've reserved opinion on it. As I see it though, if he agrees to the intervention that so many are trying to get him to agree to, and comes out sunny side up, he'll be that much more qualified to relate to all people of society, not just the elite.
But at this point there's still too many unanswered questions surrounding the ongoing investigation. Time will tell.
