OFT says travel websites "misleading"

Latest Office of Fair Trading report regarding travel websites in UK:

Initial analysis suggests that forty per cent (54 out of 135) of UK-based websites visited during the search contained potentially misleading claims.

I have a lot of sympathy with whoever is cracking down on these sorts of claims.

I personally spent a frustrating couple of days in January trying to get a flight to Australia and got really cheesed off by the false claims made :(

I've often been outraged by sites in competition with us who advertise a cheaper price than us but actually sell at a far, far higher price than us.

In the end, these things come around...
