Got a Contact Us form submission asking for a listing to be removed from our site because it "gives the impression" she is a licensed attorney in the state. She even said "please."
OK, not a problem. Other than the fact that the phone number she listed isn't in our database and she signed the e-mail with just a first name.
I write back and say we can't find any listing with that phone number.
She wrote back in all caps saying I should have searched for her name. Then (still in all caps), "REMOVE THIS LISTING" and 4 exclamation points, all with a red background. But at least she finally gave the right phone number.
The listings actually looked legit, and I don't delete valid listings without some sort of confirmation. So I did a search on the business name and followed one link to the State Bar page. Wow- quite a few disciplinary actions over several years resulting in multiple suspensions and ineligibility to practice law.
Gotta wonder how much that winning attitude of hers had to do with those disciplinary actions...
