Ray Manzarek of The Doors Is Dead at 74 [billboard.com]

Ray Manzarek, the inventive keyboardist behind the sound and songs of The Doors, died on Monday at a cline in Germany after a lengthy battle with bile duct cancer, the band announced today. He was 74.

Unless your heroes were all in 'the 27 club' (died at age 27) - then you have much more time yet before 'old' sets in...
