I'm not into social whatsoever however yesterday afternoon I did actually see it working in a favourable and extremely fast way.
A visitor to my office did not close my outside door securely and about 5 minutes later I realised my Husky had gone. I knw she would head into the town centre and being a Saturday afternoon it was as busy as usual. My wife telephoned the Police and they could not have cared less telling her to ring the local council on Monday morning ... they're off my Xmas card list now, just wait until they need my assisstance!
Anyway, my daughter immediately went on the local town Facebook page, tagged or whatever it is that is done, and within 5 minutes a guy responded he had the Husky in his car and where did she need delivering and 5 minutes later she was home.
Not bad eh, 15 minutes from escape to return and all it cost me was a couple of beers and further disrespect for the local police.
