The Torrentfreak news site reported that Ukraine's Division of Economic Crimes acted after receiving a request from the international police organisation Interpol.

Demonoid "recently ranked among the top 600 websites in global traffic and the top 300 in US traffic".

soooooo they raided and shut down a server that hosted nothing but torrent files?

beside the fact that torrent files hold zero infringing data, this does next to nothing.

They act like these torrent sites are holding 50,000 TBs of movies and music, when in reality they hold a few hundred MBs of torrent files.

but china has plenty of servers hosting 50,0000000 TBs of content, I don't see anyone knocking down their doors.
