With the start of the Games and the Opening Ceremony I am happy to see Mr Bean. Although our family are more than a hundred years removed from England seeing him calls me home.
Great show! :)

They had a tough job of competing with a successful Australian olympics and an extravagant Chinese one.
I liked it, and the weather wasn't too bad either.

I don't remember ever watching an opening ceremony but my wife eats that stuff up. She'll watch it as many times as they replay it. She told me she really enjoyed the show this year.

I suppose it's all subjective but I thought it was dire.

A bit of a "curates egg" in my view. In the end I got bored and watched a rerun of the original M*A*S*H movie instead.

A wise decision IMO. :)

It put me to sleep... I did like the timeline and growth aspect, the story... but it just couldn't keep me interested, and after nodding off a few times, I changed the channel.

I was pleasantly surprised and in the end thought it was a good show.
