The section is called the "60 second idea". I don't know if 60 seconds refers to the time it takes to present the idea or the time the person thought the idea through before presenting it.
In this case I would think it's the latter.

She certainly is old enough (67) to know better, unless she spent her whole life in some backwater where non-fiction books are not available

My apologies ..wasn't aware the BEEB did this to UK visitors..I thought it was only with the iplayer to those "outside"..considering you are paying the "licence fee" and thus the site and the "journo's" wages etc ..you'd ( well I would expect ) think you'd get first dibs..~:o

Now you are compaining you have the wrong IP to view this article. If the lady in the article had her way you would soon be complaining that you have the wrong barcode.

Leosghost - no problem, I had the same reaction as you had when I read their blocking page, cheeky ....
engine - great advice, hadn't thought of that
I ran the translation twice (Dutch and French) because, as usual, software translation can be quite 'garbled'
The opening line in French (as quoted in the OP) is great "Cette lune d'Elizabeth d'auteur de la science-fiction ...."
She better not pat herself on the back for her idea is not original (previously implemented in 1939-45 as a tattoo, chips were not available then)

In the near future this will be for real. She isn't the only one thinking this there are many Gov's. trying to figure a way to get this done. Called keeping track of your inventory. Think about it tracking devices can be set up anywere and your logged everytime you pass one. It is a no brainer it will happen and I know somewere it was written 1000's of years ago each person will be marked.
Guess then the black market will go to replanting chips that are good.

Tracking is already happening but you carry the device with you, you don't pass it, it's called a cell phone.
